I am delighted to announce that I will be teaching a day of Fiddle Workshops on Sunday 10th Dec, 2017 in Low Fell, Gateshead. The focus will be on tunes and techniques for fiddle players, featuring popular and interesting folk tunes and the techniques required to bring these to life on the fiddle (bowing, groove, ornamentation).

The adult workshop will run from 11.30 – 3 pm and is aimed at intermediate and improving players (not complete beginners). There will be a break for lunch at around 1 pm, so please bring your sandwiches, or there is a Co-op and a Subway in Low Fell. Tea, coffee and juice will be available at the venue. The cost of the day is £22 and can be booked via the website here. For more information or to pay by cheque, please contact us via the website form.

If you are unable to attend for the whole day, it is possible to book for either the morning or afternoon sessions only. The workshop will be designed as a whole day, but either session will stand alone and can be booked separately (Morning / Afternoon).

There will be a separate Youth Workshop for young people of around Grade 3 standard and above, which will run from 10 – 11.15 and will cost £8 per child.

The workshops will be held at the Eve Trew School of Dance in Low Fell, and onsite car parking and good transport links are available.
