Terms & Conditions 2026

  • The fee for courses in 2026 will be £430 per person. The course fee covers all tuition, teaching resources, meals, daytime refreshments and overnight accommodation for two nights. The rooms are all single-occupancy and some are en suite, which are allocated by need; and then on a first come, first served basis. If you have specific access or accommodation requirements, please discuss these at the time of booking. Couples or friends may book double or twin rooms if preferred and if space allows. Rydal Hall offers a reduced rate for two people who agree to share a room, when both bookings are received before a course is sold out – price available on application. A limited number of non-residential places are available on each course and include tuition, teaching resources, daytime refreshments and all meals except breakfast – price available on application. If you have specific accommodation or access requirements, these must be stated at the time of booking. If these change, we will accommodate the changes where possible, or will refer you to the cancellation policy.
  • A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of £100 per person is required to reserve your place on each course at the time of booking. Payment and acceptance of a deposit constitutes a legally binding contract. Cancelled bookings cause financial loss to Stewart Hardy Music. For this reason, charges apply to all cancelled places (please see cancellation terms below). All cancellations must be given in writing and acknowledged in writing (email is acceptable).
  • The remaining course fee is to be paid at least 12 weeks prior to the start of the course. Paying in two instalments (at 12 weeks and 8 weeks prior to the course) may be possible on application. Cancellation terms apply to all bookings.
  • Cancellation terms: Charges apply to the following notice periods:
    Up to 12 weeks prior to the course: a £100 non-returnable deposit is charged.
    Between 12 weeks and 8 weeks prior to the course: £310 is charged (to cover us for the accommodation cancellation charges).
    Within 8 weeks of the course start date: 100% of the course fee is charged.*
    Any monies already paid over the required cancellation charge will be refunded. You will be invoiced for any additional cancellation charges owed to Stewart Hardy Music.
    *If we are able to fill the place, we will refund all monies paid excluding the deposit, and in addition we will endeavour to roll the deposit forwards to another course.
  • We reserve the right to cancel courses or alter venues, facilities and tutors as necessary, but will always attempt to provide an alternative that matches as closely as possible to the original advertised.
  • If, as a result of any reason beyond our control, we cancel or alter the course details then we will not pay refunds or consequential losses in respect of those changes.
  • If, having made the booking, you find that you have been at risk of contact with an infectious or contagious disease, you must inform us and not travel. If cancellation is required, we will transfer your booking or refund all money in our possession on receipt of medical proof.
  • Special medical dietary requirements and preferences will be catered for in accordance with the venues’ policies, following advance agreement with the venue. Please enquire at time of booking.
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied on courses by a parent/guardian, for whom all residential and food costs must be met.
  • By completing a booking you agree that your personal data may be held and transferred for the purposes of running JSArts Music Workshops.
  • We reserve the right to refuse any booking without explanation.
