NEFS 2025 Block 2

NEFS 2025 Block 2 will begin on Wednesday 5th March, with more tips, techniques, exercises and tunes from both Grace Smith and myself. Join us on Zoom to play along with our lovely group of participants, and if you can’t make it live you can catch up with the call recordings later.

Our Block 2 Saturday workshop will be on 29th March, and you can come along in person for tune workshops and a session. Bookings are now open and more details are available on the NEFS website.

We have some lovely tunes again this block, and we will be working on triads and arpeggios in our Fiddle Practice, along with some helpful videos from Grace on pulse bowing. I will be providing an in-depth tutorial series on an untitled polka after Charlie Harris’ Reel, which Kevin Burke recorded on his Up Close album, and we will have two more video tutorial series available from Grace – La Planète and John Walsh’s Polka.
