DESCRIPTION:2026 Block 2 Online \n\nWeds 4th March – 1st April\n£75 \n\n\n\n2026 Block 2 Online \n\nA five week course of fully-online fiddle tuition\, accessible on Zoom and YouTube from anywhere and at any time.\nIn-depth sets of Video Tutorials\, which include elements of technique\, tunes taught by the phrase and a detailed look at bowing\, ornamentation or stylistic interpretation.\nWednesday evening live Zoom calls\, 6.45 – 8.30 pm\, including Fiddle Practice and Tune Learning in the Zoom workshop\, plus playthroughs of previous tunes which form our core repertoire.\nRecordings of all Zoom calls available for catch-up on demand.\n\nNEFS 2026 Block 2 will run from Wednesday 4th March to Wednesday 1st April. Stewart Hardy and Grace Smith will be teaching live on Zoom for the first four weeks\, focusing on fiddle practice in the first half of each meeting\, and learning tunes together to build up our shared repertoire in the second half. \nOn Weds 1st April we are very excited to be welcoming a special guest tutor for the evening on Zoom – the wonderful Jenna Reid. Jenna will teach us a tune and take us through her interpretation\, with suggestions to enhance the tune\, and our improve fiddle playing\, along the way. \nWe also have a new video tutorial series from Stewart or a fabulous Niel Gow tune\, Farewell to Whisky\, and a chance to revise Gamekeeper’s Cottage\, by Jenna Reid\, featured in a previous video tutorial series from Stewart. \nThe Online block runs for five weeks\, with live Zoom calls on Wednesday evenings. These are also available as recordings on-demand\, and video tutorials are published weekly for you to work through at your own pace. \nCost £75 for full access to materials.
