Pistache

This is a terrific French schottische which goes by the name of ‘Pistache’. It was an early JSArts session tune brought to the workshop by the lovely fiddle player, Mary Moylett. She had it as ‘The Perranzabuloe Schottische’, named for the tiny village on the north coast of Cornwall where it was learnt. It was more than a decade later when we learnt its true name from Mike Rudge… at an evening session during another JSArts workshop. The combined wealth of knowledge that appears at these workshops never ceases to amaze me!
