Morpeth Community Strings

Performance: Golden Gala Concert, Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering

Friday 21st April, 7.30 pm at Morpeth Methodist Church.

Morpeth Community Strings will be performing arrangements of two tunes written to commemorate the tricentenary of the Morpeth Town Hall in 2014 at the Golden Gala Concert at the 50th Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering.

Please meet at Morpeth Methodist Church at 6pm on Friday 21st April for a final run through. It has been requested that we wear something yellow or gold in our outfits, if you wish.

The parts have been updated to reflect the Bottle Bank Band ensemble parts within the arrangement. If you can annotate your music please do so – otherwise download a new version. The additions are as follows:

We will aim to perform the piece at around the speed at which we were comfortable in practice (c. 96 bpm – 3/2 minim), which is a little slower than the recording above (108 bpm).
