The North East Fiddle School was set up in January 2018 to provide regular, high-quality fiddle classes in the North East of England. Working with extremely talented tutors, NEFS strives to provide the very highest quality of fiddle tuition – a safe and nurturing learning environment encourages participants to improve both as fiddle players and musicians, increasing their stylistic awareness and appreciation of a strong fiddle tradition.

Directed by Stewart Hardy & Ali Say, NEFS currently provides weekly classes on a Wednesday evening in Gosforth, Newcastle with tutoring from Stewart and Melissa Whitehead. Two ability levels are catered for, with classes focusing on Fiddle Technique and Style & Repertoire, as well as an Absolute Beginners class with Ali. Full details of classes can be found on the North East Fiddle School website.
